Our Activities

  • Water Healing Ceremony

Guests will be taken to a sacred water temple surrounded by ancient shrines and crystal clear water fed by natural springs. Guests will be cleansed and blessed in natural holy water. The Balinese believe that bathing in these waters is a very healing and spiritual experience. This will be the perfect opportunity for guests to set their intention for the rest of the journey and to release and let go of what is no longer serving them. Please note women cannot do this if they are menstruating (OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES ARRANGED).

Guests will then have lunch at the amazing Tegallalang Rice Terraces as they overlook the breath-taking scenery. Then a swing to freedom out over the rice fields followed by some coffee and tea tasting. The famous Luwak Kopi (coffee) is also available, this coffee is considered a delicacy among avid coffee enthusiasts and available to try at extra cost.

  • Fire Healing Ceremony

Fire heals nature, but when we experience catastrophic wildfires in our communities, we are inclined to fear fire's destruction. This is understandable. In nature, fire has a very different role. A burned-over landscape may feel like loss to us, but it becomes an ecosystem brimming with life.

Keeping in mind the power of fire, we wanted our guests to benefit and heal from it. It is a practice which goes back thousands of years.

At the fire healing ceremony, guests receive a traditional blessing while sitting around an enchanting fire pit at a Balinese Guru's home turned Ashram. During the ceremony, guests can make offerings and honor their higher power.

Homemade Dinner at the Ashram can be included in the experience.

Duration: 2 Hrs (7:00 PM to 9:00 PM)

  • Nature Walk and Workshop

  • Batik Painting Class

Batik art is a textile technique that uses wax and dye to create stunning patterns on a piece of fabric, such as cotton, silk, linen, or rayon.

Originally from the island of Java in Indonesia, the technique of batik painting goes back to at least the 12th century, though some historians believe that batik was already a well-established textile art in the region prior to this time. By the early 1800s it migrated to Europe, and batik fabric was on display at the Parisian Exposition Universelle in 1900.

The process for how to batik fabric is similar in many ways to silk painting, with wax being used in lieu of resist. And while the process is relatively simple, it does vary slightly depending on region, with artists throughout Asia and Africa using their own unique ways of applying batik art to fabric.

In this class, textile artist and instructor Nyoman Werta provides a helpful tutorial for beginners who are interested in learning how to batik.
